Using the Fortran Medic Utility to Determine your PSCAD USB Lock Number
Use the Fortran Medic utility to determine your the license number for your PSCAD USB lock as follows:
- Ensure Sentinel Drivers are installed on your machine. If not, they may be downloaded from the following link and installed:
http://updater.pscad.com/utilities/USBDrivers_7.6.0.zip - Securely plug in the USB lock to the machine USB port.
- Download the latest “FortranMedic” from our website:
http://updater.pscad.com/utilities/FortranMedic.zip - Unzip the downloaded file, save it to a local drive, and run the "FortranMedic.exe" file.
Note - When prompted whether to run this utility with Windows Administrator privileges, just select "No".
- Click on the Actions menu and select "Start".
- After the utility is done retrieving information, scroll down, almost to the bottom of the utility, to the heading: "Lock-based Licensing".
- Down below this heading, (scroll down a bit further), the license number associated with the USB lock should be displayed, similarly to the following:
